VoiceStory isn’t about me.

I’ve been told that I’m crazy, an idiot, a madman and stupid for continuing on with something that brings zero income and costs me money every time I put on a show.

I hear them, but I decided a long time ago that this isn’t about me.

VoiceStory is about all the dreamers, the oddballs, the crazy ones, the outcasts, the ones who were told their voice doesn’t matter… that they don’t matter.

It’s or those who shared their dreams and got laughed at. For those who showed their hearts and got crushed.

VoiceStory is for those that find themselves forever treading water to stay afloat in the Sea of Suck. Sitting alone in the darkness, feeling isolated and alone, that no one understands or cares and screams silently for it to stop… just for a moment so they can look up and see the sky.

It is for those that walked through their own personal hell and got out the other side.

For those that have transcended the pain and grew from it.

But not everyone gets out… VoiceStory is for them too.

It’s not about who is right or wrong, it’s not about pointing fingers and slinging shame.

It is about becoming aware that so many of us are trying to stay afloat, to keep from drowning… that we are not all alone.

VoiceStory is about finding the others in the Sea of Suck, showing them that there is a way out, that they have a choice.

VoiceStory is about creating a safe, empowering space free of judgement, ridicule and fear. So those that had to swallow their words and hide their stories from the world can finally have a place to share, a place to breathe, a place to unfold your wings and be!

A place to remember that you can fly and be free.

All of this is what VoiceStory is about.

So “YES”, I may be crazy, an idiot, a madman and stupid for continuing on with something that brings zero income and costs me money every time I put on a show.

But I believe in my soul the world needs this space and I will do anything I can to make sure VoiceStory continues to exist.
